We are a privately owned company who believe passionately that games should be simply great fun to play and that those who play games should be encouraged to grow through them by making them skillful and challenging.

We grew up playing Dungeons and Dragons interspersed with 8 hour long games of 14 a side football on the village green whilst we eagerly awaited the next issue of 2000AD and assorted Marvel Comics. Now that we are all grow'd up - we wondered what it would be like to merge these three things together. What we came up with we have called "Football Resurrection", a collectible trading card game based on modern day football set 100 years in the future.

Although we have so far come up short of having a blue coloured, dragon riding center forward who can score 60 goals a season we can never say never! The future is after all a very strange thing!

Educational and personal development benefits:
Football Resurrection is first and foremost designed to be fun to play. It has also been developed through consultation with teachers and children so that its educational and personal development values have been enhanced in natural ways that remain sympathetic to the game play.

Portal Games Ltd mission is to support the DfES National Strategy for Numeracy and we are committed to help raise levels of numeracy in those aged 8 years and over.

A special note about schools:
We are not political in our beliefs we just use our own common sense and it is our common sense that says our schools face mounting challenges with fewer and fewer resources. Our schools cash back program is simply designed, in some small measure, to try to help bolster the available resources by donating 5% of our total turnover (not profit) to schools.
