Having lost his family to the volcanic meltdown in 2088 at the age of 10, Eusebio found himself adopted by a group of “Freedom Fighters” who fought a guerrilla war against the Military Republic across South America. Following the declaration of Global Martial Law in 2098 Eusebio’s unit set about recruiting fighters from the Brazilian underground football league. Eusebio himself turned out to be a useful, left sided attacking midfielder.

In 2100, during a training session attended by key rebel leaders Republican Forces raided and massacred all present. Eusebio, arriving late for the session and from a hidden position witnessed the final, bloody, scenes. To his horror he realised they had been betrayed by a team mate and freedom fighter that had been like a father to him since 2088. Leonardo Vava. Two days after the massacre Eusebio was abducted by unknown forces. He now finds himself on the island his life blown apart for the second time!
