When set in defence Ziege may be moved into attack on any subsequent turn. He may start a new move or join an existing one but may not be the shooting card. This does not count as your turn. Occurs once on any subsequent turn after being set in defence. 17 years of age at the time of the volcanic meltdown and the German national teams’ under 21 captain, Ziege was heralded as the best of a new wave of German players coming through. Exhibiting extraordinary stamina and athleticism he was being courted by the most powerful clubs in Europe.

However as the control of his nation fell to the Military Republic he joined the German rebel forces in some of the most fierce fighting seen in the global conflict. Incredibly he survived the 10 year war with hardly a scratch. Becoming disillusioned at his country’s subsequent acceptance of Global Martial Law, Ziege committed himself into the German Underground Football League and set about recruiting a crack squad of saboteurs to continue the fight. During a clandestine meeting he was abducted by unknown forces and now finds himself on the island.
